One month old that won't sleep!? ?

my one month old is fighting me horribly trying to get him to sleep. He's been awake without a good nap for about 10 hrs now... I don't know what's wrong with him I've tried everything I normally do to get him to sleep. Right now he's able to fall asleep latched on while I'm BF but as soon as he falls asleep and falls off he wakes up and starts fussing! I try burping him but that makes him even more upset. He only seems to be happy while he's latched on.. Someone please help?! I want to cry, scream, and pull my hair out!!!
